Wondering how that works? Sounding Soil is an awareness-raising project of the Biovision Foundation in Switzerland. The aim is to use soil sounds and noises to show how alive a healthy soil can sound. This makes it possible to experience the often unknown habitat of soil. With borrowable soil microphones and small, mobile listening stations, the sounds are brought to the surface from the darkness. Together with Sounding Soil, we want to raise awareness of this complex and incredibly important ecosystem.
