From the moment you board the Hexenwasser Gondola, the Söll witchcraft begins. In 2020, the 10-person gondola lift to “Hochsöll” was newly built, and the witches and wizards put their heads together. The idea to enchant each cabin uniquely led to the creation of what’s called “Hexophonie” – if you haven’t heard of it, you’ll never believe it!

You will be amazed by what the witches have to tell you. The locals of Söll, from young to old, lent their voices and recorded 72 different short stories. Each cabin features a unique motif by painter Dominique Rebourgeon, making it an artistic one-of-a-kind experience.

The Söll Federal Music Band also wanted to be part of this project and recorded 72 soundtracks, creating an “eccentric witch’s music” that beautifully accompanies the stories. Riding the gondola has turned into a total work of art, which you’ll only fully appreciate if you visit us at least 72 times. Of course, from a technical standpoint, the lift meets the highest standards, providing very comfortable transport for wheelchair users and families with strollers. And for those who don’t want to get off, there is the Breakfast Gondola, where you can sit and enjoy the ride for 2-3 hours…
