Runnels, Raft, and Broom Pond

Damming up, standing still, and letting the water flow along the waterways at Hexenwasser.

When sitting in the sunshine at the exit of the Hexenwasser gondola and observing the arriving guests, one can repeatedly witness a magical phenomenon. Full of enthusiasm and drive, the guests begin their excursion towards the witches umbrellas. Equipped with a map, backpack, and a large to-do list, the hike begins. But then… a few hours later… you see the exact same family lying on the meadow just a few meters away. When asked what they have done, they smile and answer, ‘THIS.’

As soon as one reaches the fish pond with the Kneipp basins, water channels, and damming trenches, it’s as if bewitched. The children experiment, glide, marvel, and happily hop from stone to stone. Parents soak in the magical view of the Wilder Kaiser or allow themselves to be hypnotized by the dancing broomstick on the fish pond. ‘Just let it run’ – without pressure – without obligation. That’s exactly what we wish for our guests in Hexenwasser. For everything you may have missed, you may have gained something much more precious.
